RiflePermits

Departing for your hunting trip to South Africa is exciting, but make sure you’re hunting on the right side of the law. For instance, firearms must bear the manufacturer’s serial number or any other mark by which the firearm can be identified.  This number needs to correspond to the number on the firearm license, firearm registration form, or the CBP4457 US customs form.

Please note that for hunters from the United States of America, the CBP4457 customs form will suffice as proof of ownership; this form must be signed, stamped and dated by US customs in the year of travel.

Very important:
When travelling to South Africa with minor children, please ensure that you adhere to the requirements as stipulated by the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa. Please visit their website HERE for more information or ask your travel agent for assistance!

Travelling tip:
If you need to stay overnight after arriving in South Africa, we recommend the City Lodge Hotel at O.R. Tambo International Airport (view HERE) or the InterContinental O.R. Tambo Hotel. These hotels are conveniently situated on the airport premises and after clearing your rifles, one of our representatives will walk you over to the hotel, therefore no need to leave the airport premises.  If you have a connecting flight the next morning, we can meet you at the hotel and assist with check-in for your flight.
